Commercial Terms & Conditions

These Commercial Terms & Conditions ("Commercial Terms") govern the relationship between Square41 (square41.com) and any organisation, employer, or recruiter ("Client") that submits job listings or purchases services on the platform.

By submitting a listing or purchasing any service, the Client agrees to be bound by these Commercial Terms as well as the General Terms & Conditions. In the event of conflict, these Commercial Terms prevail.

Clients must:

• Be a legally constituted organisation, company, or institution.
• Have the authority to post the listed role on behalf of the hiring organisation.
• Provide accurate contact and organisational information.

Square41 reserves the right to verify the identity of any Client and to refuse or remove listings from organisations that do not meet these requirements.

All job listings submitted to Square41 must be:

• Genuine — the role must be a real, open position at the time of submission.
• Accurate — all details (title, location, salary range, deadline, requirements) must be truthful and up to date.
• Relevant — listings must relate to professional roles in international affairs, development, public policy, or adjacent sectors consistent with Square41's focus.
• Legal — listings must not discriminate unlawfully on the basis of age, gender, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
• Clear — listings must include sufficient information for a candidate to assess the role and how to apply.

Square41 reserves the right to edit listings for formatting or to remove listings that do not meet these standards, without prior notice and without liability.

The following types of listings are strictly prohibited:

• Fraudulent, misleading, or fictitious roles.
• Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or commission-only roles presented as salaried positions.
• Roles requiring candidates to pay fees as a condition of application or employment.
• Listings that are discriminatory, offensive, or in breach of applicable employment law.
• Roles unrelated to Square41's stated sector focus.

Clients found to have submitted prohibited listings may have their access revoked and no refund will be issued.

Each job listing is published for the duration agreed with the Client at the time of purchase.

Clients are responsible for notifying Square41 at contact@square41.com if a position is filled, withdrawn, or the deadline changes before the listing expires. Square41 will make reasonable efforts to update or remove listings promptly upon request.

Pricing for job listings and other services will be published on the Square41 website and is subject to change. Square41 will provide advance notice of any price changes affecting active subscriptions or agreements.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Square41 does not store card details. By making a payment, the Client also agrees to Stripe's Terms of Service.

All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Clients are responsible for any taxes applicable in their jurisdiction.

Due to the digital nature of the service, refunds are generally not offered once a listing has been published. Exceptions may be made at Square41's sole discretion in the following cases:

• A technical error on Square41's part prevented the listing from being published correctly.
• A duplicate payment was made in error.

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment to contact@square41.com.

The Client is solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of all content submitted to Square41.
• Managing the application process with candidates — Square41 is not involved in any stage of recruitment.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws in the jurisdictions where they recruit.
• Keeping their account credentials secure and confidential.

Square41 reserves the right to:

• Refuse, edit, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
• Suspend or terminate a Client's access to the platform if these Commercial Terms are breached.
• Update pricing, features, and service offerings at any time with reasonable notice.

Square41 is a listing platform only. We are not responsible for the outcome of any recruitment process and make no guarantee that a listing will attract applicants or result in a hire.

We may update these Commercial Terms from time to time. Clients will be notified of material changes by e-mail or via the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
